About
I was born in Austria in May 1964. After studying Business Pedagogics & Administration, receiving some scientific prizes and graduating with an excellence PhD, I worked several years in (international) management.
Then suddenly, one day I came up with the idea of painting & photographing... and that was the beginning of "Andy Crown".
Pictures
Using watercolors, felt pens, colored pencils, photos etc. on paper, various typical "Andy Crown style artworks" emerge.
I never search ideas, they always find me.
The compositions range from very simple to complex.
Main elements are colorfulness, contrast, playing with words, easiness, joy - but also seriousness and deepness.
Issues vary, from freedom and love to (system) critique.
Generally you will find a lot of varied pictures.

Photographs
My photographic tool is a simple digital- and a smartphone- camera.
The Photographs are never edited or posed. This guarantees a maximum of authenticity. So we can catch a glimpse of a moment.
The issues vary from droll to beautiful, from buildings to nature.
It is again and again amazing how Life looks through my eyes with that relaxed, playful easiness, letting me find the most original motifs. I never have to seek.
